Christmas

Wow! What a Christmas. This was definitely the best Chrismas ever. There is no greater joy than to see the excitement of your child at Christmas time. We had a long day with Gavin awaking at 6 am. He loved all of his gifts except the clothes. He was kinda out on clothes which was really funny. He enjoyed opening up the gifts and he is very particular and wants every piece of wrapping paper off the packages.

This Man Called Jesus

This year Madison was able to play the part of Baby Jesus in This Man Called Jesus. These are pictures of her last performance. She was 4 for 3. She was really good during 4 of the performances and she cried during 3. The last night she did a wonderful job and was locked in on me while Joseph was singing to her. God has really blessed us and we are fortunate that both Gavin and Madison got to play this part with me playing the part of Mary.

Lights at the Zoo

We went to the Lights at the zoo last night with our friends the Delaney's and Love's. Gavin really enjoyed looking at all the lights and even started tapping his foot to the music light show at the sea lions.

Update on Gavin's MRI

Sorry for the delayed notice. Gavin had his follow-up MRI done the end of September to look at
the cyst on his brain. We just got the results last week and we have good news. His head is growing faster than the cyst and it appears that the cyst has gotten smaller. He will not have to have another MRI until he starts sports and they will do another one at that time so we have a few years until that starts. As for his kidney we will go for an ultrasound the first part of January to get the status of that.

Trying to get a Christmas Card Picture

Trying to get a good Christmas card picture can pose quite the challenge with a baby and a 16 month old. It took quite a while to finally get a good picture I could use on our card. I wanted to share some of the pictures I took in trying to get a good one.

Decorating the Tree

We decorated the Christmas Tree last night and Gavin was really getting into it. It was so much fun to see how excited he was getting. However, he would have preferred to decorate the tree with pacifiers and balls but we got him adjusted to the ornaments. We dressed them in their Christmas pajamas and had a great time.

I can't believe how big they are getting. Gavin goes great with Maddy and he really loves on her all the time. I have to really watch him around her b/c he wants to love on her so much.

Happy Thanksgiving

We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with our families and wanted to share some pictures of all the kids. Our families are truly blessed with lots of little ones.

Madison talking and laughing

I finally got some video of Maddy talking and laughing. She has been doing it for a couple of weeks but everytime I would get the camera out she would stop. She is getting so big and is got great head and back control already. Time is really flying.

Happy Halloween

We took the kids to our churches Fall Festival and Gavin had a blast. There were so many things to stimulate his brain so he was all over the place. It was hard to keep him still for any pictures once we got to the church. I also have some pictures of Carlysle and Jackson (Gavin's closest friends). It was so exciting to see how excited Gavin was. He enjoyed shooting the basketball in the goal and throwing the football through the hoops. We had a great time with the kids and our friends.

Gavin Plucking his eyebrows

This is a funny video of Gavin trying to pluck his eyebrows after watching me do it.

We took Gavin and Madison up to Spinners on Saturday to watch the Carolina Game and Gavin
was really getting into the game. he was screaming and yelling. We kept telling him he had to
keep it down. He had on his football jersey that Uncle Matt got him and he was not going to leave the house without his Carolina Football.

Madison's Baby Dedication

We had Madison's baby dedication yesterday. We were so excited to have our good friends and family with us to share in that special day. We chose Jeremiah 29:11 as Madison's life verse,
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I sang Thank you Lord, How could I ask for more following the dedication. We had brunch at your house following the service.
