Hard to believe its been 2 weeks!

Well we took Madison this afternoon for her two week appt and she has already gained a pound and grown 2 inches. She is doing really well and sleeps around 18-20 hours a day (which is completely opposite of Gavin). Gavin is adjusting. We have definitely seen his temper. He is becoming more and more interested in Maddy and I really have to watch him (he has already sat on her twice). Maddy has a little baby doll and Gavin likes to play with the doll and imitate what he sees me doing with Madison, which is so funny. It is definitely an easier adjustment the second time around. The hardest thing is not being able to pick Gavin up. He just doesn't understand why mommy can't pick him up.

Madison is Here

We welcomed Madison into the world on Friday, August 10th @ 1:40 pm. She weighed 7 pounds and was 18 inches long. Not sure who she really looks like. She has Kyle's long torso and shorter legs. She seems to sleep more than Gavin. Our first night home she was up every two
hours eating. We seem to be adjusting. Gavin is starting to show some interest in her. It will be an adjustment for him.

Awaiting Madison's Arrival

Well Madison is due to arrive tomorrow August 10th around 1:00. I think we have everything in order and ready. It will be a challenge handling two little ones but I know that God will give
us the strength to get through it. Kyle is really looking forward to spoiling his little girl. We are
truly blessed.

Gavin at Saluda Shoals

We took Gavin to Saluda Shoals with our Sunday School class and let him play in the splash area. He had so much fun crawling around in the water. Gavin is still not walking but he has
cut another tooth and is fixing to cut is fourth one. He is sleeping through the night and came off the bottle smoothly. We are just trying to get him ready to be a big brother.

Gavin's Birthday Party

We celebrated Gavin's birthday on Saturday. It is so hard to believe it has been a year and
what a wonderful year it has been. God has truly blessed us beyond measure with this special
child. He was a trooper yesterday even though he was so tired. He actually went to bed
at 6:30 and slept till 7:30 this morning. We are truly blessed with wonderful friends and family to share in all of this with us.

It's hard to believe that Gavin will be celebrating his first birthday in a couple of weeks. He is
beginning to be such a big boy. It amazes me how much he understands. His personality is really starting to shine through. He is definitely going to be one that entertains. He is doing great listening to me. We only have to tell him no once. He still is not one that likes to nap but we are making it through the night. Just in time for Madison's arrival on the 15th of August. It
will be interesting to see him transition.

July 4th

We all went to Bishopville for the 4th with some friends, Joey, Leslie and their little girl Carlysle. While the guys played golf we hung out with the kids. Here are some pictures from that day.
We really had a great time and Gavin stood on his own several times but wouldn't take a step.
